Who are they?
The Bramblers are an active group of our members who do a tremendous job in helping maintain and improve the standards of the paths in our our area. They make paths more accessible for the benefit of ramblers and the general public. See Recent Work
What do they do?
The Bramblers cut back vegetation, install new stiles, fences, gates and bridges, dig drains, infill boggy paths etc. This is vital work which they carry out in partnership with the local authorities who provide essential logistical support and supervision. Without this footpath maintenance and improvement work, which continues throughout the year, we would all have fewer places to walk. We have a range of specialist tools to help in the work and the Councils provide the necessary materials.
The Bramblers The magnificent seven from Solihull Ramblers, under supervision from Warwickshire C.C., installed a replacement bridge in Snitterfield in spring 2024 and as a result reopened a public footpath that had been closed for many months.

The user of another recent bridge repair wrote to Solihull Ramblers "I’ve just walked my Labrador across the fields from home and go through the overflow car parks at Warwick Parkway where the bride over Gog Brook has been unstable for some time. Thank you so much for the new very stable bridge, very much appreciated.". This makes the hard work worthwhile!!

Reporting footpath problems
If you come across a footpath problem when you are out walking please contact the Ramblers. Please include photographs and accurate location details if possible. Note: most smart-phones can give the Ordnance Survey grid reference which can be helpful.
