We are the Solihull Group of the Ramblers national charity walking and footpath and access campaigning body. Our elected Group Committee manages this group as part of the Ramblers Warwickshire which includes the West Midlands Area.
Would you like to join us? You can "try before you buy". See Walking with Us for more information on joining a walk. If you have found a walk you would like to do but are not sure about joining the Ramblers, please contact the relevant walk leader about any of our walks.
Could you Lead a Walk? New walk leaders are always needed and even more so now we are adding extra walks. If you would like to become a walk leader, please speak to another walk leader or a member of our Committee, and read our further information on leading walks here.

Walking in Andalucia
Fourteen Solihull Ramblers had a fabulous week of walking in Andalucia Spain in May. Everything about this holiday was really wonderful - perfect weather, magnificent scenery, great hotel and lovely walks to suit all abilities each day.
Ramblers Worldwide did us proud supplying us with excellent leaders, lovely accommodation and interesting days out. As part of this holiday we visited the Nerja Caves which were incredible and also had a day visiting Granada and the Alhambra palace which was amazing. Needless to say they all had a really good time.

Facebook - we have a Facebook page under Solihull Ramblers with lots of photos from recent walks.
Smartphone Apps - the page on useful apps has been updated again in November see IT Aids - you only need to read the update at the bottom of the article if you read the September version.
Holidays with Solihull Ramblers in 2025
There was a weekend away in March in Herefordshire, a successful holiday in May visiting the Cinque Terre and an autumn weekend in Llandudno in September 2025.

Car sharing - please seriously consider car sharing to reduce the cost of travelling to the start of some of the walks. It is also good for the environment, sociable and could provide some help with navigation. Car sharing meet up point is the junction of Lady Byron Lane and Warwick Rd. Full details will be on the walk information.
Asian Hornets - a threat to biodiversity - Would you recognise one? See this article
The Bramblers - busy every week helping to improve our footpaths - cutting down vegetation and much more. See what we do here

Remember also to check details of any walk you intend to join, on the evening before, or first-thing in the morning, just in case of a late change such as cancellation or start point change.
